1.3 billion people worldwide have a disability. Many of these live in poverty and do not have the same access to education, healthcare and work as others. In war and conflict zones, life is especially difficult for people with disabilities. Armed conflict leads to more people being injured.
In Palestine, an entire generation of children is at risk of growing up with severe disabilities due to the war.
The funds from the telethon will go toward education, healthcare and emergency aid, as well as assistive aids such as braille schoolbooks, wheelchairs and prosthetics. We will improve the lives of 200,000 people with disabilities and their families in Palestine, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Nepal, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.

Together, we will:
- ensure access to education for more children with disabilities.
- provide medical assistance and assistive aids such as crutches, wheelchairs, and white canes for the visually impaired and blind.
- ensure that emergency aid reaches people with disabilities. In war and conflict, these people are especially vulnerable.
- help people process painful experiences through mental health support.
- provide startup loans and training so more people can enter the workforce.
- work with local communities to eliminate stigma and exclusion, ensuring everyone can participate.
